.004 – Fine / Maximum Dance
Our finest standard Chrome Silver Flake. The small particle size creates an incredible dancing effect as light moves across the finish. An excellent choice when you want lots of movement without the appearance of a large flake.

.006 – Fine-Medium / Dance + Sparkle
A great middle ground between .004 and .008. This size maintains plenty of movement while adding more visible sparkle. An excellent all-around choice for custom paintwork.

.008 – Medium / Balanced Flake
One of the most versatile sizes. .008 gives you a noticeable metallic-flake appearance while remaining manageable to bury under clear. A great balance of dance, sparkle, and ease of finishing.

.015 – Coarse / High-Impact Sparkle
A larger flake for painters who want the silver to really stand out. .015 produces a bold, highly visible chrome-silver effect and noticeably more sparkle than the finer sizes.

.025 – Extra Coarse / Maximum Bling
Our largest standard Chrome Silver Flake. Designed for an aggressive, unmistakable flake appearance with maximum visual impact. Larger flakes generally require additional clear and finishing to achieve a smooth final surface.

A specialty flake with irregular shapes and sizes for a more dramatic, textured sparkle. Shredded Flake produces a completely different visual effect than traditional uniformly cut flake and is ideal when you want something bold and unconventional.

How to Use

Chrome Silver Metal Flake can be incorporated into a compatible intercoat/flake carrier and sprayed over a properly prepared basecoat.

For a classic bright silver flake appearance, we recommend using a silver basecoat underneath. This helps maintain consistent coverage and keeps small areas between individual flakes from visually contrasting with the overall finish.

Apply the flake in controlled, even coats until you reach your desired coverage.

Finish with automotive clear coat to create depth and protect the finish.

Important: Larger flake sizes generally require more clear coat and additional leveling than finer flake sizes.

Professional Tip

Stir or agitate your flake mixture periodically while spraying. Metal flake can settle in the carrier, so keeping it evenly suspended helps maintain consistent coverage throughout the project.

Always spray a test panel first to determine your desired flake concentration and coverage before applying to your final project.
